Speech of SOVINTERN in Mexico city
Speech delivered by Comrade of SOVINTERN Jorge Galves — political secretary of the Labor Party of Chile (Marxist-Leninist) and national coordinator of the Sovereignist Left of Chile at the seminar "Parties and the New Society," organized by the Labor Party of Mexico in Mexico City on October 10, 2026.
Mr. President of the Labor Party of Mexico, Professor Alberto Anaya; delegates from around the world: on behalf of the SOVINTERN, International Socialist Network, we send you a fraternal socialist and revolutionary embrace. As Fidel Castro warned, "the empire wants to rule the world and the world is ungovernable," and as Hugo Chávez called upon us, we must "prevent the consolidation of the imperial dictatorship." Humanity and Nature, both threatened, demand that we take up the historic challenge of rebuilding life on planet Earth; therefore, defeating predatory capitalism and imperialism is the central task that calls us to decisively pave the way for socialist transformation.
Capitalism and neoliberalism have plunged the planet into a profound socio-environmental crisis. Faced with the decline of its unipolar hegemony, imperialism promotes a global authoritarianism and encourages the dangerous advance of neo-fascism. To contain popular forces, the oligarchies use political persecution, lawfare, and direct military aggression. From this platform, we categorically repudiate the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores, perpetrated in an act of geopolitical piracy and imperialist interference, and we demand their immediate and unconditional release. Likewise, we demand an end to the judicial harassment against leaders of the popular movement who are victims of lawfare, such as former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in Argentina and former President Pedro Castillo in Peru.
In the face of these threats, we value the strategic role of the BRICS in building a multipolar order that breaks Western financial blackmail and challenges the dominance of the dollar. In this map of disputes, we denounce the still-standing colonial injustices and highlight with deep admiration the heroic and unbreakable struggle of the Palestinian people against the genocide and Zionist occupation backed by the United States, recognizing Yemen's solidarity in its defense. Likewise, we vindicate the tireless resistance of the Sahrawi people and the Polisario Front for their self-determination and territorial sovereignty.
In this global confrontation, the SOVINTERN reaffirms its firm support for the Russian Federation in the face of NATO's encirclement and for the Islamic Republic of Iran in its sovereign firmness. We salute the neo-colonial rupture in Africa (Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso) and maintain our militant commitment to Cuba and Nicaragua.
SOVINTERN, active since its founding in Moscow in 2026, acts as a horizontal network to wage the ideological, cultural, and digital battle. Picking up the legacy of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Samir Amin, and Hugo Chávez, we call on the working class, original peoples, and progressive forces to articulate a common front against neo-fascism, taking on anti-imperialism as the driving force and socialism as the historic and non-negotiable horizon for the emancipation of humanity.

End lawfare and imperialist aggression!
Long live the struggle of the Palestinian and Sahrawi peoples!
Long live Mexico, its noble and dignified people!
