We demand the release of the 10 internationalists
Urgent SOVINTERN statement: immediately release the members of the Global Sumud Flotilla convoy kidnapped by Israel.
SOVINTERN expresses solidarity with the 10 internationalist activists who were kidnapped in the last hours while en route to the Gaza Strip as part of the international land convoy "Global Sumud Flotilla".
This international delegation is part of a humanitarian initiative aimed at reaching the Rafah crossing, securing the entry of emergency aid, and exposing the genocide being inflicted on the Palestinian people.
SOVINTERN holds the Zionist state of Israel directly responsible for the lives, physical integrity, and safety of these 10 comrades.
The illegally detained delegation consists of representatives from multiple countries:
- Paula Giménez (Argentina)
- Lucas Aguilera (Argentina)
- Matías Álvarez Rodríguez (Uruguay)
- Alicia Armesto Núñez (Spain)
- Domenico Centrone (Italy)
- Leonarda Alberizia (Italy)
- Ana Margarida França Santana Baptista (Portugal)
- Lauro Kwoczala (Poland)
- Ashraf Khoja (Tunisia)
- Jenelle Jones (United States)
The kidnapping of international activists exercising the legitimate right to solidarity is a flagrant violation of international law and yet another manifestation of Israel's impunity. Through this act, they seek to intimidate those who stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza and deepen the isolation of Gaza's population — but they will not succeed.
SOVINTERN demands the immediate and unconditional release of all 10 internationalists.
We make an urgent appeal to the governments of their countries of origin, to anti-imperialist organizations and forces around the world — to mobilize immediately and activate all pressure mechanisms until the activists return safely.
International solidarity cannot be kidnapped!
Immediately release the internationalists of the "Global Sumud Flotilla" convoy!
Stop the genocide in Palestine!
SOVINTERN — International Socialist Network, consisting of more than 100 parties, movements and organizations from over 70 countries worldwide.
